Ringing Poem by Rachel Brewer

Ringing

Ringing, ringing, off the hook,
Why wont you go away?
Ringing, ringing, all the time,
I don’t know what to say.
All you people with questions to ask,
Questions about things I don’t know.
I try to be polite and explain things,
But you just will not go.
I answer you every time and try to do my best,
But you people will not take a hint,
Please, please, let me rest.
