Ripple Epiphanies Poem by Miracle Oluwasola

Ripple Epiphanies

Rating: 5.0

If I never saw you smile,
I wouldn't know the beauty
Of the nightly lit sky
On a rainy night full of dreams.

If I never felt your hand
Touch the bump on my lips
On weak weekends and bland
Days, life's a grain caught in the wind.

Had I never seen you weep,
I wouldn't know how joy
And hot tears could breathe
Within a soul, like a two sided coin.

Had I missed walking you down
Crisp pathways on a gloomy twilight
After a sunset across a lonely town,
I'd still dwell in a fool's paradise.

While every plant blooms in its due season
And gives up last breath for good reasons,
Had we not parted ways on that windy day,
I would hardly believe the sun could rise again
