Road Is Open Poem by Alice Morgan

Road Is Open

Road is open for both
of us.
You say, to forget you,
I wanna say, why don't
you try to forget me?
You forget me first,
then I'll think over
your proposal.
My mind is not a door,
which can be opened
or closed if one desires!
Road is open....
I can recognize you
under any cloak.
Find me out
and then say
to forget all
the memories of
my scarred heart.
You never left me
or leave me I know.
I feel your presence
everywhere I go.
Don't try to force
me the thing I can't
do, do it yourself
at first, then
I'll ask my
mind to do!
