Robin Redbreast Poem by John Bannister Tabb

Robin Redbreast

When Christ was taken from the rood,
One thorn upon the ground,
Still moistened with the Precious Blood,
And early Robin found.
And wove it crosswise in his nest,
Where, lo, it reddened all his breast!
