Rose Time Poem by Gary Revel

Rose Time

Rating: 5.0

The day was well spent
I was very tired

I saw the roses blooming
By the busy city street

I was late for an appointment
And had no time

The lure of their beauty
Slowed me

I pushed on
Then stopped me

I succumbed
The fragrance
The deep breath
Refreshing

The day was new
I wasn't late

I was right on time

Rose time
