John Thorkild Ellison (17/04/51 / Edinburgh)
Rose-Tinted Spectacles
Rose-tinted glasses will save your day
And drive your bitter blues away;
As you wander in this drab, grey city
Each girl you see will be oh-so-pretty!
You'll want to hold each in your arms
As you're overcome by their sexy charms,
No more cold-shoulders, no more tears,
Rose-tinted specs and a couple of beers
Will make you realise that you're the best
And so will satisfy your lust.
Doctor, doctor, prescribe these specs
And let us rediscover sex! !
I used to frown at an ugly girl
But now she puts my heart in a whirl,
Her looks don't matter anymore,
Not once we've closed the bedroom door!
I thank the Lord for these new glsses
My friends are a bunch of silly asses
They think that I have gone quite mad,
But a thousand lovers - that can't be bad! !
