Royal Slave Poem by Kennedy Nayebare

Royal Slave

In the world i rule...
Happily living on my own, thinking
for myself.
Castles in the sand, my temporary
wealth.
Walls are falling down, storms are
closing in.
The world I've built is crumbling...
I curse this morning's sun.
That dragged me into one more
day.
Of living this hell of a life.
Of living with my shame.
Reaping what I've sown.
Welcome to my world and the life
that I've made.
Where one day am a Prince and
the next....a Slave.
