Running From The Past Poem by Raouf Reda

Running From The Past

I run alone in the rain,
wishing I will never see her again.
As the water beats on the window pane,
I hope no one saw my pain.
As she showed me her wicked face,
and saw me weeping in disgrace.
she ripped her heart full of hate,
and lies I cannot trace.
I try to run to a different land,
where the ground is pure sand.
And there are no demands,
someone will lend a hand.
I will get my life back in order,
and take my heart over the boarder,
so it will not lay in the horror
Of the women who killed my soul.
I will not love her, for that - I control
