Rush Poem by Katie Leon

Rush

I let myself relax a bit, I breathe in the soft sea air.
Then I feel the gentle breeze blowing through my hair.
I take a few steps backward, then i run and jump and fall.
Flying down the cliff side, I have never felt so free, I see the gentle waves below and my heart skips a beat.
S-P-L-A-S-H, I'm in the water now, I'm just rolling with the waves, the salty tasting water running down my face.
I let myself relax a bit, I breathe in the soft sea air.
Then I feel the gentle breeze blowing through my hair.
I look up at the cliff top, I just can't believe I jumped, but all the pain was worth it, just to feel that RUSH.
