'Sack O' Woe' Poem by Stan Petrovich

'Sack O' Woe'

I saw an outlaw the other day
Carrying a severed head in one hand
And holding the other to his own bandaged head,
Screaming, 'Get me away! Get me away! '
So I did him a favor
And shot him in the leg.
He hopped off bleeding into the desert.
When will it ever end,
And become mild and pleasant again?
