Sad And Hurtful Things. Poem by Tara Schley

Sad And Hurtful Things.

I don't watch babies be given needles.
I look away when I see roadkill.
I don't slow down to stare at dead bodies in lethal car accidents.
I skip the torture scenes in movies.
I don't laugh when someone falls down and gets hurt.
I don't like; when babies cry, break ups,
funerals, when the dog dies in the movies or in real life.
I don't like sad and hurtful things.

And for that reason, my dear
I don't want to know you anymore.

To me,
you are the worst of all the sad and hurtful things.
