Sad Girl Poem by Danny Ballan

Sad Girl

Why are you so sadly walking away?
Your tears wet your cheeks and frown;
Your brows wishing it were your last day.
Then all the lies came with a promise and a gown;
Happy you were planning for your wedding in May,
But winter came too early and let all your dreams go down.

You never wanted to conquer the world, but his heart.
You never sought a world full of happiness and peace,
But a small hut where you two would together start.
You just wanted a hug to start and never to cease.
You wished to be his flower and him your masterpiece art.
You wished the whole world would stop then and freeze.

Yet here you are, your cheeks so wet with your tears;
This short history of yours seems to have consumed all the years.
A black spot in your life that could take life till it clears;
Yet trust me, throw anything, but your heart, against the wall.
Your heart is not yours, for now it is everyone's goal;
Waiting for idiots to pass it until the worthy finally seizes it all.
