a rainy day,
thick coats are worn,
tears fall, tears stay
and poems are born.

hearts lie and sworn,
tears fall, tears stay

strong bonds are torn,
tears fall, tears stay

unreason, forlorn
tears fall, tears stay
and poems are born.
a rainy day,
weep fills the urn,

a bright, hot day
restores the warm to men
verses fall, verses die
