Sadie Dillon Is Teaching French To 3rd Year. Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Sadie Dillon Is Teaching French To 3rd Year.

Making the metamorphis
from Science class to French

trying to find the fulcrum
of my existence

- that her littlest smile -

disturbs.

My alchemy of Love
touches her lovely face

as through the shyness of her
dress

sunlight silhouettes her
legs

litmus
testing my desire

red turns to blue

while she remains a constant
pH value of. . .

. . .someone I could never
attain.

Oh! My hydrogen atom
I turn to you

(nucleus to me)

I whirl madly about you.

A single solitary electron
(knowing only you) .

In French you ask
for the Future

I tense
& know that I can never

tell you...

jamais jamais JAMAIS!
