Sahyadri Poem by devanshi (devi) shah

Sahyadri

Rating: 5.0

It is so silent here,
That I can hear the buzzing of the bees.
There is simply no fear,
The sky is like the sea.

The sky sometimes is wild,
And sometimes it is calm.
The rain is very mild,
And it causes no harm.

The wind that blows,
Is an ocean of various sounds.
The river in elegance flows,
Is free of all bounds.

I live here without fear,
With love that shines.
It's a life without a tear,
'Cause home it is mine.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Sahyadri is my school where I studied from the 6th to the 10th grade. It is a residential school, run by Krishnamurthi Foundation India (K.F.I) , situated at the Western Ghats of India, in the Sahyadri Hills. It is a beautiful place and I have loved it there. I wrote this poem in my last year at Sahyadri School.
