Sailing Poem by Barbara Villabol

Sailing

Upon bright blue
A sail boat
Above,
Clearest sky of lighter hue

The air is fresh
The wind is brisk
Light shining white and golden

Where is this place my love?
We traveled here before
Smiled and hoped before

Too late now to stay landlocked
Step aboard
Ride as my companion

It’s not so far
The wind will take us
Across this blue bay

Our hearts will crest and dip
Riding endless waves
Under a blazing sun
