Sandness Poem by Chris DeAmbrose

Sandness

Rating: 3.8

A Sahara sea of sand, the wind rippling through dunes of endless time
Carrying debris into the vast emptiness
As a coyote looks on, staring in bewilderment
At a plastic bag, wondering where it came from
And why it was here? Why would fate bring it to the dunes?
Smelling that it didn't belong, the coyote walked on,
Knowing life would remain the same
Leaving the synthetic sack to die in the cruel, harsh sun.

A nicely penned poem of sadness, loneliness and desolation, Chris. ( also a good case for recycling, : -) ) Thanks for sharing

A lovely poem that captures the vast emptiness of the desert wilderness and its endless stretch of sand, un inhabited by living souls. A beautiful piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned with insight. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. ➕10
