Sans-Souci Poem by Herbs 'n Planz

Sans-Souci

Rating: 5.0

Twas a sans-souci day with sounds of no say
all about tree swinging and giggles of play
along came a leprechaun tall in the ears
he juggled with laughter till he burst into tears.

The tears fell to ground, they had nowhere to go
but the scorn of the gods just made bigger the flow,
unbeknownst to them all there were seeds in the earth
and the salt of the tears caused a wildflower's birth.

Arising as runaways, freshness to burst
Yellow head full of hope and the vibrance of thirst
Bees will gather the nectar, there is work to be done
Rabbits pop from their burrows finding warmth from the sun.

Peeks a fawn through the trees ears on full red alert
scares the mole as he digs and piles up the black dirt,
Mrs. Owl on her tree oversees the charade
comes the unicorn close, on his back poet Trade.

Wilderness was eager to highlight all views
Waterfall roared loudly, beckoning its muse
Beneath crystal waters, sunk eons ago
Lived mystic feathered fish, puffy fins aglow.

As the gods see their world on the earth far below
nodding wisely again as they ponder to know
if the make of the creature they have called modern man
will destroy by their deeds the original plan.

If tomorrow come soon, though the future unknown
Would generations up next be reduced to a groan?
Still we dance in our Burg called Le Grand Sans-Souci
to the tune of oblivion and the song of the free.

Still we dance in our Burg called Le Grand Sans-Souci to the tune of oblivion and the song of the free. You both have a great potential :) - all kind of: intellectual, poetical, cultural. Deana put her nice doze of exotic and wild imagination to the sophisticated more European style of Herbert and the result is a wonderful multicultural sound. There was a burg called sans souci - free of worries in Potsdam as far i remember me....

Excellent and fun. A grand combination. I would love to have that mural on my wall.
