Stars stars burning bright
Burning in the pale moon light
What to my eyes I see
No more beautiful light than thee
In the distance it burns in the sky
A twinkling light shines in my eye
As they glow and burn
My lonesome heart will yearn
Longing to touch it’s glow
Reaching my hand out real slow
When my feet leapt off the ground
My heart stood still and all around
In my head I had thought
In my hand I had caught
The star I had dreamt
In my hand it was well kept
I had brought it down to earth that night
I looked up at the sky I didn’t shine as bright
I decide to take it back
So that the night wasn’t so black
Stars stars burning bright
Burning in the pale moon light
What to my eyes I see
No more beautiful light than thee
