Savannas Poem by Cee Bea

Savannas

I want to try the warm savannas
of your past 5 lives

to taste the green apple
of your tongue
when you place my fingers
against the silk of saturday

I want these words
to make you melt like...
a vanilla shake left in warm weather
left out for fifteen minutes

I want your eyes
to find mine, knowing
what I know.

Watching
- My hands become
a groom, observing
your pinks and pales
finessing gentle moans against
the light of day
