Say How You Feel Poem by Ray Hansell

Say How You Feel

She was feeling hurt
Because of what was not said
So many different thoughts
Were running through her head

She said she was hurt
Because of my lack of words
If she had been listening
She probably would have heard

I told her that I like her
And have for a long time
That a picture of her face
Was burned into my mind

I told her yes I do care
I show every day
But maybe I would express it more
With words that I should say

When it comes to her
My heart beats loud and strong
What I feel inside for her
I know cannot be wrong

I hope she understands
The failings of a man
Knowing that deep inside
We try the best we can
