Saying Goodbye. Poem by Chevelle Behar

Saying Goodbye.

Rating: 5.0

The day has come for me to say goodbye
Goodbye to the love I had for you
Goodbye to the meamories
All the laughs we shared,
All the plans we made,
All the promises we swore to eachother
All the times we said “what if”
Everytime we said “I love you”,
We swore our hearts to one another,
You were my best friend,
My lover, My shoulder to lean on
The one I cried to when all went wrong,
But all that is to be forgotten now
I will still smile back on “us” from time to time
But I will let it grow faint in my mind,
For that is all I can do, I no longer have you to lean on
I am but a tower standing in a blizzard,
Constantly fighting the urge to fall,
But I have to let you go, for that is all I can do.
So with a heavy heart and my feelings for you still very strong indeed,
I wash my mind of you,
Letting you be but a meamory, And another chapter in my book,
Goodbye.
