Saying Nothing Poem by Maryah DeLong

Saying Nothing

Rating: 2.5

Saying nothing says a lot
and so my thoughts can not be bought
to go so long without a word,
forever since my voice was heard.
Words that play within my mind
secrets held with teeth that grind
questions with no answers said
answers that I nearly dread..
For how long can I keep quiet?
hold on to this soundless diet
lips are sealed without a doubt-
what are all these lies about!
I hope with silence you can hear
all the things I truly fear
just a moment longer too
until the truth comes out for you.
