Scales Of Justice Poem by Brian Taylor

Scales Of Justice

Rating: 5.0

It is not easy to sympathise with the victim
and not blame his oppressor.
It is not easy to sympathise with the oppressor
and not say that the victim was asking for it.

If the inescapable future is seen, however,

Verily I say unto you, they have their reward;

there is only room for compassion.

Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. Sounds like a verse out of the Bible, specifically the New Testament. I think it was when Jesus was talking about those who pray loudly in public, to be seen of men.
