Scars Poem by James Hall

Scars

Rating: 5.0

I don't know how I lived without you
You healed my scars and made my heart feel new,
I've tried everything to make my past go away
I never had a brighter day,
There's a void only you can fill
Not the tipping of the bottle or the popping of the pill,
I can see now after everything I've been through
That it all draws me closer to you,
I've used everything you can imagine to fill that hole
Do you realize that it's my heart that you stole,
You are constantly on my mind
Until I found you I was blind,
To what I thought love was
You've showed me what a real loving heart does,
to a man with a horrible past
I've been with a lot of girls I pray that you're the last.
