Scars And Stars Poem by Leonardo Gonsalves Ferreira

Scars And Stars

Your god is not great
Your god is a murder
Your men are trying to rape
The origins of our hope

A new world
But only few stars
Shall shine over our remains
And our scars

Easier is to belittle forgiveness
Than revenge
The increasing coldness in our hearts
Will be responsible for our fall.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I created this poem after searching on the current political situation. The expansion of some cultures may come to harm others, changing customs, traditions. The foundations of the Western world: Roman law, Greek philosophy and Christian morality are at risk.
