Scentless Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Scentless

Life is enhanced by the sense of smell.
Some aromas can inspire and compel.
If you ask a man with a deficient sniffer…
He may shrug and say that he does differ.

'The lack of fragrance has no affect on me…
I’m happy and contented as I can possibly be.'
One day his dormant nose began to comprehend.
Awareness was sparked and began to transcend.

Suddenly the unassuming man began to expand.
He took a deep breath and said, 'I feel grand! '
The morning smelled delightful and brand new.
His life changed instantly that day; this is true.

He became more energetic and began to smile.
He inhaled the vapors of his coffee for awhile.
He sipped from his mug and was very amazed.
This wondrous realization deserved to be praised.

As he progressed through his day with vitality,
He enthusiastically became a part of actuality.
With his new profound talent he felt motivation.
He was interacting with the world of scentsation.
