Scents; Tastes Left In The Air. Poem by Robert Doig

Scents; Tastes Left In The Air.

I love the taste you leave in the air
The taste you leave in the space you have
Just left,
it turns my head
And then, opens my heart, to you.

Tastes are evocative,
They create sensations and behaviours
And the taste you leave
In the air behind you,
Even, when you have left the room.
Makes my love for you, burst up
From my soul and electrifies every nerve ending
In my body. Making me feel more alive
Than anything else.

The taste you leave in the air,
Goes with me wherever I go
And reminds me of your beauty
Somewhere walking, and leaving
Your taste in the air, somewhere
For me, to taste again and again.
