Science - Wait A Second Poem by Paul Warren

Science - Wait A Second

It didn’t seem to be different on that night
When the scientists thought it would be right
To add another second to the end of the day
So that night and day would align to stay
See it’s important to darken the night
And have the sun shining in the day alright

But I can’t think what I did with it
Because it seemed to pass in a fit
The other thing that is quite disconcerting
Is if the earth is slowing down from turning
Will the earth one day stop spinning altogether
And then it will be the same time forever.
