Sea Goddesses Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Sea Goddesses

Rating: 4.9

As I watched the waves crash against the rocks
I began to weep
For the solitude was killing me as I yearned yr touch
As I wiped my tears, I heard something unusual
Like goddesses singing out in a language, unheard of,
At least, to my ears
I looked at the direction I thought it came
But there was nothing
I turned around and the song ended
Not knowing what I heard
I came to and heard the waves crashing
And watched them once more, thinking of you

Lovely write LeeAnn, I've had many water escapades, mostly underwater but I've never been kissed by a mermaid! !

An enchanting gothic work, It reads like a modern poe work. Like mermaids singing and then we drown. The feeling of loss permeates through. Superb all the way!

Loved the poem. Quite romantic, but with a melancholy ending. Emotionally charged.
