Sea In Your Eyes, Sun In Your Air Poem by Esselebor Ebhojie

Sea In Your Eyes, Sun In Your Air

He came into town
With a guitar
And a dream in his head
From the look on his face
You could tell he needed breakfast and bed
He had that pretty boy smile
Saying I won't stand in your way

The sea in his eyes
Sun in his air

First time he played
Beer cans knocked him down
All the folks said
You can last long in this town
A maid from the back felt
He could sound better some day

She saw the sea in his eyes
Sun in his air

He got as famous
As getting with the girl next door
All his years of pain
Remembered no more
Settled with that maid
They have their tale to tell

Sea in their eyes
Sun in their air.
