Seagulls Fly Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Seagulls Fly

Rating: 5.0

Ancient rock by the sea
I must go where dreams flow
Fire of heavenly mystery

This broken ship sails again
Healed by faith sublime
In the dawn I see my friends

Beauty amidst the dark castle
Once a slave now I am saved
Principalities of power we wrestle

My weapons are not ideas of man
She brings to me her prayers
All other ground is sinking sand

Time is just a narrow road
Her eyes are in the stars
Love is an eternal home

Sea sighs with glorious tide
Call of many voices
See the pierced hands and side

He who was dead but now alive
Tears of joy and gratitude
He who abides in marvelous light

Free from hate and strife
I have forgiven others and myself
Mercy and truth redeemed my life

I must journey for others
Only the Gospel breaks the chains
Truly we are sisters and brothers

His blood has set us free
His cross the height of true love
He brings the gift of peace

Seagulls fly like souls of heaven
