Seasonal Lust Poem by Jayatissa K. Liyanage

Seasonal Lust

Beating of rainy pellets
she could not bear any more
Mother rosacea covered herself
with enough greenery, thick and solid

Down pour ceased after some time
Rosacea stood with might and grit
Stretching limbs and arms in the free air
Thank goodness, at last it's all over

Feeling much too heavy and clattery
decided to caste off boring emerald blanket
How witty and nutty to be naked, but burden free
exposing herself to sun moon and stars

High time the outfit is changed, she felt
to something fashionable, romantic and lustful
Her wishes came true, in a moment
oh! What a lovely display of amorousness!

Hued in vision and passion
She thought she conquered the world
Mind your tongue my dear
storm is just behind, whispered a leafy twig

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Blooming roborocea everywhere, looking so romantic. How long it lasts...... nature takes it back in a jiffy.
