Seed Of Faith Poem by Jacque Hardison

Seed Of Faith

Rating: 5.0

One day a young sower
With copious needs
Sowed his faith
With a mustard seed

The garden was perishing
Couldn't understand why
He began a prayer
Raised his voice to the sky

Without a single doubt
He watered each day
Even when rodents and bugs
Burrowed their way

With his garden
Along with his field
He must have faith
He must also yield

Yielding to God
Trusting in His care
Picturing the plant
As if it was there

One day the seed blossomed
To a large fruitful tree
Nations traveled miles
To stop by and see

Its branches spread across
To the birds of the air
The young sower remembered
All was in God's care

His entire garden
Flourished too
There is no limit
As to what God can do

You hold the seed of faith
Allow it to grow
God will water your seed
May your fruits show

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Based off from Matthew 13: 31-32

"He told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches."

'Faith Keeps Those That Keep The Faith' - Mother Teresa. A witty creation nicely crafted with spiritual insight. Thanks for sharing Jacque.
