The mind is like a garden fair,
Wherein the seeds of knowledge grow,
And if they're nourished with care,
They'll grow to great and wondrous show.
But if the garden be neglected,
And the weeds allowed to grow,
The flowers will wither and die,
And the garden will be lost to view.
So let us tend our gardens well,
And water them with truth and love,
And the flowers of knowledge will grow,
And our lives will be enriched above.
For education is the key
That opens the door to life,
And it is the only way
To reach the highest heights of strife.
So let us all strive to learn,
And to grow in wisdom and truth,
And we will make the world a better place,
For ourselves and for all our youth.
