Seeking Faith
It's better to have faith in all and be mislead,
And bewail that faith and that misleading,
Than doubt one's character that, if believed
Has hallowed one's life with a steadfast believing.
Oh, in this contemptible society, too fast
The wicked skeptic overtakes the youth,
Better to be mislead to the very last
Than destroy the reverent hope of truth.
