Seemed so really

It seemed so real
That night
You and me together
Talking and having a laugh

Sitting in your house
Having a couple off drinks
Then you said to me
You have something on your face

Then you leaned over
And kissed me
It seemed so really
Then I woke up
It was just a dream.

Poem of the Day

poet Ralph Waldo Emerson

Knows he who tills this lonely field
To reap its scanty corn,
What mystic fruit his acres yield
At midnight and at morn?

In the long sunny afternoon,
