Seemingly Unreligious Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Seemingly Unreligious

I saw you last night,
Oh what a plight.
You were helping the poor old man,
Where he was holding a money pan.

But you yourself act so angelic.
You are who the poor relish.
You who act so non-religious,
Never showing yourself ferocious.

You have a way with words,
So humble and kind.
You are so sweet
And one of a kind.
