Seen And Taking Place Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Seen And Taking Place

Rating: 5.0

What is seen and taking place.
Whether to disbelieve.
Or not accept.
Is a truth too effective.
Without debate to need it.
With it to choose to delude.

Hypocrisy has reached its limits.
With a self-righteousnes kept,
Pretentiously to defend.
What has been openly seen,
Stripped bare of schemes...
Marketed to fantasize,
Precious dreams...
To obtain them and reach.
Has these days to witness,
The travasties of a society...
Selling visions of entitlements.
Sold by thieves, deceivers...
Liars and crook cookers.
Exclusively filling their pockets,
Off of the backs they stand upon
To depict them to be the ones,
Causing the quality...
Of a democracy,
To be diminished in ways...
That has destroyed,
Their entitlements!
And way of life.

'Uh...
Roll that video back.
I need to see and hear,
What those domestic terrorists...
Are saying one more time.'

-From where?
When they entered into,
The Capitol Building.
Like a mob of vigilantes.
Or...
From where,
They rushed up the steps...
Carrying weapons,
Confederate flags.
Pipe bombs.
And threatening death,
To police and lawmakers? ! -

'Roll it back.
To where they are accusing,
Those of different ethnic races...
As being the cause,
Of them losing their rights.
And freedoms to do as they like,
In a democracy...
Being destroyed!
I want to 'see' these people,
They are talking about! '

-They do not appear.-

'But...
They are accused of doing,
What their accusers are doing? '

-Uh...
Yes! -

'Roll the video back.
In slow motion.
Has this video been edited?
I don't see people of color,
Anywhere near the Capitol.
Do you? '
