Self Loathing Poem by Danielle Roller

Self Loathing

The wind blows in the air
The sun rises and sets
People exchange laughter
The days pass by
She remains stationary
Dazing out into the abyss
She can never forget him
For he robbed her soul
Now she is bruised for life
Reliving the pain she felt that night
Living with flashbacks that never end
The once brave girl now lives in fear
He is the scum that destroyed her
But she doesn’t hate him
It is herself that she feels hatred for
She sees no point to living
She is not the girl she once loved
She is but a mere statue
Stuck in a moment
Feeling only pain
What kind of life is this?
