Senseless Sensible Thing Poem by James Callos Jordan

Senseless Sensible Thing

Doubt spoke to me
And said “You couldn’t do anything”

I stood up and disagree
Replied with a strong “You’re wrong! ”

Then it asked me;
“What is it you would do? ”

I paused, smiled then said;
'I'm doing it right now.'

Perplexed he asked again;
'You’re not doing anything”

I kept quiet and glanced
On this thing I made.

And for a moment there
I started to realize something.

That I ended up making,
A senseless sensible thing.
