Senses Fade Poem by Phillip Knight

Senses Fade

Rating: 5.0

How would life feel
If not for you?
Such glorious bubbles of inspiration
They bounce and burst in my mind,
Pouring sentiment and reason into all I write.
With out you there is only air,
Enough to keep me alive,
But not living.
There would still be light,
But not to guide,
Nothing to show me where to go,
Or how to be me.
Without you I may as well be blinded.
My heart would still beat,
But no longer with the rhythm of passion,
The loss of intensity,
I become no more then a breathing apparatus.
Watch the clock stop.
Hours, minutes, days.
No longer with meaning when I am not waiting.
And how I would miss the waiting,
Waiting to see you on the other side of the door.
Life without would not be life at all.
No need for five senses,
Without you to touch,
No more hands through hair,
Soft voice to hear,
No more sweet scent to smell,
Or lips to taste.
No more eyes to gaze upon,
Without you,
Every thing is gone.
