Senses of Rain

The sweet aroma
of freshly falling rain
after a severe
mid summer thunderstorm
awakens my restless soul

The refreshing sensation
of the gentle rain
as it poors down
over my ivoryskin
revives my body a new awakening

the revitalizing flavor
of mother nature's
purest liquid
it quenches my thirst
and rejuvenates me inside and out

The relaxing tone
rain poring down
on an old rusted tin roof
is a sweet and intoxicating sound
and brings music to my ears

The bewitching sight
of rain's majestic dance
on a humid night
leaves me in awe
of its beauty and grace

Rain, so simple yet so complex
its such a power thing
it awakens all my senses
and soothes my soul

poet Robert Frost

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
