the day you were needed
was the day you were there
the day i fell
was the day you caught me
that day you were sent

the day my problems came
was the day you solved them
the day my life flipped upside down
was the day you straightened it out
that day you were sent

the day that i cried
was the day you wiped my tears
the day i needed to laugh
was the day you tickled me to death
that day you were sent

the day i needed guidance
was the day you grabbed my hand
the day i needed to sing
was the day you listened
that day you were sent
