Separation Anxiety Poem by Edwina Reizer

Separation Anxiety

Rating: 2.0

I will myself to take a rest
and make memories come to mind.
But most of what I remember
I cannot seem to find.
So many thoughts befuddle me
and are mixed in an equation.
that I just can never solve alone.
For that there's no explanation.

The more days that pass the harder it is
and no matter what I do.
I'm lost in this world where I feel trapped
with just words and thoughts of you.
I must conquer this feeling in some way
and will myself to rest.
For this separation anxiety that's got a grip on me
has left me so damned depressed.
