September's Wind Poem by Tina Rush

September's Wind

Rating: 4.5

Standing out in a field and suddenly
a wind overtakes me and sends a shiver
down my spine. Bringing with it the strange urge
to remember. And suddenly my mind is
filled with the memory of things which
used to be but one no longer. It's a sad
feeling, but somehow this very thing comforts
me. I feel at home with this melancholy
atmosphere. For it is no stranger. I feel
that I belong here and want to stay here
forever.. But son I must leave, for the cold
cruel winds of winter will come. And
I must say goodbye to yesterday until
the next September comes.
