Series Of Contradictions

You think you have life figured out
But then you have a nervous break down
Thinking you know everything and how to be right
Well this life it’s only about your fights
You say “I will never lie”
But, come to find out you will drown yourself in your false words
I love you forever oh what a sweet gesture…
But then she walks by and she looks so sweet…
Hearing your “loved one” saying what about what you told me?
As a child you made innocent promises to yourself…
Then as a mom you find all you do is yell
I’m not sure why we think that we can beat ourselves
When trying to prove ourselves right we create a worldly hell
Saying what we mean while forgetting what we “believe”
Oh I won’t say I've never done it…
But, I can respect this is how life unfolds
We will go on trying to just prove our worth
While leaving values and morals behind…
I’m not sure if destiny and fate will ever mix
But I do know this
Most everything we say we contradict
And I'm not sure if heaven will excuse all those mistakes
But, I do know god is all grace…
All we do it base our life off of tails
Tails of over doing the rest…
But, I won’t lie! I’m not going to burn in fire for eternity
I know this is what you will get … when your life is what you contradict
Sadness is this shearing feeling I get…
And I have no reason to hide it…
Here it is… all my pain…
Lay it out for the sun to dry it out…
So this is how our words will flow
We end up reaping what we sowed?
I’m not sure of all those puns
But I do know that what’s done is done
Here in my life I avoid what I call sick
But this is life
We all contradict
