Serious Poem by Devon McElveen

Serious

Rating: 5.0

She proves to be so hard to break.
Her gaze is hard to get past.
I can not read her expressions.
Why must she wear this mask?
She chooses not to speak,
Her lips remain in place.
There is no reason for this harshness,
Why must she wear this face?
Although she remains this serious,
I know this will not last.
Because I am determined
To see her smile and laugh.
