Thank you stars thank you non-fiction thank you
when the cyclop unlids his eye
in summer nights and school forms
in the seats of the observatory seriously
realize the difference between it and cinema

Sexy outer space sexy seriousness
sexy innocence and sexy sun sexy
Sirius main star in the Greater Dog seriously
Sirius is nine light years away
and has a white dwarf for a companion

Were it not winter, were the pathways not white
the two symmetrical woods
not clearly proportioned and the stars
on the inside wall of the cupola really were
the message of a magic hand full of happiness

Thank you shine thank you distance
thank you wasteland and thank you name thank you
Silence snow achievements and seriousness
and thank you Venus Venus thank you
