Sermon Poem by Amanda May Moore

Sermon

“’Cause you had a bad day,
Taken one down.”
These lyrics of Daniel Powter
Describe my life.
But I do not walk around
With a frown,
Dealing with the usual
Everyday strife.
I do my best to put
Anxieties aside.
And that is where God
Comes in.
His rules I follow, keeping Him
Always on my side;
Because with Him
We can win
Over all the evils
We face
Knowing that He looks
Out for us
Makes the world a
Better place,
And kindness most certainly
A must.

Being the piece of clay
That I am,
God has molded me
This way.
Frantically worried for
That exam,
That is only one
day away.
Putting God in charge
Of my work
Is what lessens
My stress.
Otherwise I would be
Running berserk!
God surely does bless!
Since I have
Done this.
He makes my plans
A reality.
A never ending
List
Of His
Hospitality.
Which begins with the
Joy of teaching.
I love to challenge a
Childs mind,
And once I get past all the
Noise & screeching
I can better their day as
They do mine.
He has also given me an
Artistic ability.
Taking charge of my
Work
Gives me the
Agility
To dance and paint,
What a perk!
A path along with Jesus
I do walk,
Learning all of the lessons
Of the Father.
And everyday that he
Does talk;
I see the stress and say
Why the bother?
